The Deputy Grand Master, R.W.Bro. John Prizeman bearing the Centenary Warrant was admitted, escorted by W.Bro. Mark Golding Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies and accompanied by W.Bro. Daniel Heath, Assistant Grand Secretary.

The Deputy Grand Master occupied the Chair and then addressed the Lodge remarking on this wonderful double celebration and how he considered that Royal Ark Masonry was a special degree to us all.

He also speculated that as the Lodge was consecrated in 1918 during wartime, what would the founder members think of the world today? After all, the ceremony is the same, as is the companionship and the enjoyment of the haven of the lodge. It is the outside world that has changed! He then congratulated the Lodge on achieving this important milestone and called upon the Assistant Grand Secretary to read the original warrant then to read the Centenary Warrant.

The Centenary Warrant was then presented to the Worshipful Commander, who on resuming the Chair, thanked the Deputy Grand Master for presenting the Centenary Warrant and for honouring the Lodge by his presence.  He then presented a short history of the Admiral Beatty Lodge.  He pointed out that Admiral Beatty was not a Mason and had no connection with Freemasonry, but he was a well-known local public figure and the new Banner represented his connection with the Battle of Jutland.  Early membership of the Lodge was largely drawn from members of the leather and boot manufacturing industry.  Over the years the members had been drawn from a wider range of occupations.

W.Bro. Barry Williamson thanked the Worshipful Commander for his presentation and for his research into the Lodge's history.

The Provincial Grand Master then resumed the Chair and the Banner Dedication Ceremony proceeded.  The Banner entered the Lodge veiled and escorted by members of Admiral Beatty Lodge.  The Banner being presented to the Provincial Grand Master, was unveiled and accepted by the Provincial Grand Master and after suitable prayers the Provincial Grand Chaplain. W.Bro.Tony Avery gave a very enlightening oration on the purpose of Banners in general and this new Lodge Banner in particular.

The Banner was then paraded round the Lodge and was received by the Worshipful Commander from the Provincial Grand Master. The Worshipful Commander then thanked the Provincial Grand Master and the Officers of Provincial Grand Lodge for their assistance.

After the Lodge was closed, at the Festive Board the members and guests enjoyed a roast beef dinner where the beef was carved at the table as was done at the consecration.

Bottles of Harts India Dry Gin from the local Wellingborough manufacturer were presented to the Deputy Grand Master and the team from Grand Mark Lodge. The Provincial Grand Master and the Deputy Provincial Grand master received a selection of local brews from the Wellingborough Brewery.

The Festive Board was particularly happy and enjoyable and brought what was a very special Masonic occasion to a suitable end.
