On 27th March 2013 the Provincial Grand Master R.W.Bro.George Edward Bonham and his team visited the Steanforde Lodge No.752 to dedicate its new banner and present a 50th year certificate to W.Bro.Francis John Knipe.
The PGM entered the lodge with a procession of 29 Brethren, which included 12 acting members of the Provincial Team.
The Banner was designed by W.Bro.Nicolas Hart and carried around the lodge during the Banner Dedication Ceremony with pride by W.Bro.Claude Smith. The ceremony was carried out in a very sincere manner by the Provincial Grand Master with a very interesting oration was given by W.Bro.Dr.Viv Thomas on banners in general and the new Steanforde Lodge banner in particular. The Worshipful Master W.Bro.John Harris was also on top form and added his charisma to make it an excellent evening to remember for a long time and will certainly go down in the history books of the Lodge. The whole proceedings of the banner dedication were excellent to witness under the very efficient direction of the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies W.Bro.John Clarke.

W.Bro.John was advanced into the Steanforde Lodge No.752 of Mark Master Masons on
30th January 1963, was Master of the Lodge in 1979 and has played a very active part in the Lodge over the years.
W Bro.John was initiated into The Hereward Lodge No.1232 in the Province of Lincolnshire in 1961 and received his 50th year certificate in the craft 2 years ago.
